Feral Cats

The Hayden Island Community Kitty Committee, run by Pam Ferguson, has spayed 45 plus animals just this year. People sometimes leave their animals behind when they move. Because we are an island, there’s no effective way off.

When cats are fixed, it then becomes the responsibility of the community to feed those cats for the rest of their natural life. Spaying community cats is the Kitty Committee’s priority. They love cats and want them to have the best care.

If you know of any outside wild cats, not fixed, please contact Pam at 503-265-9479. Thank you!

With the changing weather, our cat colonies will start eating more! As a reminder, we have 18 feeding stations feeding close to 190 outdoor cats just within the Hayden Island Manufactured Home Community! (This summer we lost a few due to old age and some coyote action!) But we need food to help these colonies stay healthy through the winter! Food can be dropped off at 2270 North Broughton Drive and / or mailed to us at Cats Of Hayden Island, 2270 North Broughton Drive, Portland, OR 97217. All donations big and small will go directly to feed these community cats! Thank you for your support!
